Marcelo Lamarca (Rio de Janeiro, 1979) is a Brazilian visual artist based in Cascais, Portugal. His practice encompasses painting, muralism, installation and site-specific work, exploring the relationship between nature, memory and constructed space.

Drawing from tropical landscapes, botanical structures and imagined architectures, Lamarca creates immersive compositions in which gesture, colour and organic growth converge. Across bodies of work such as Herbarium of the Imaginary and Refloresta, nature moves from background to protagonist, reclaiming spaces marked by human presence.

His work has been presented in Brazil, Portugal, Switzerland and the United States, including Casa França-Brasil, Caixa Cultural Brasília, the United Nations in Geneva, Casino de Montbenon and Museu de Arte Urbana do Porto.

Represented by FEMALUMA Gallery, Lamarca presents Refloresta, his solo exhibition in Rio de Janeiro, in September 2026.
